Our Wedding Film process

Discovery & Planning (2–3 weeks before)

  • Kickoff chat (call or in person): Share your story, vibe (cinematic, moody, vintage film look), and must-have moments.

  • Timeline review: If you don’t have one, we’ll create a videography-friendly timeline that protects golden hour, vows audio, and key transitions.

  • Shot priorities: Letters, first look, private vows, cultural traditions, dances, exit—ranked by importance.

  • Audio plan: Who’s speaking (officiant, vows, toasts)? We plan lav mics/recorders and a DJ feed.

  • Style references (optional): A few songs or films you love help us lock tone and pacing.

  • Planning doc: You’ll get a one-page checklist and a short questionnaire to keep everything easy.

Pre-Wedding Prep (behind the scenes)

  • Vendor coordination: We align timing with your planner/photographer/DJ so coverage is seamless.

  • Location & light scouting: Identify quiet spots for letters/vows; map best natural light.

  • Gear & backups: Dual cameras, fast lenses, stabilizer, audio kits, spare batteries/cards; on-site backups.

Wedding-Day Filming (cinematic but unobtrusive)

  • Getting Ready: Room tone, details, candid interactions; we keep direction minimal.

  • First Look / Portraits: Light guidance for clean composition and natural movement (nothing stiff).

  • Ceremony: Multiple angles, discreet lav mics, ambient audio; we don’t block guest views.

  • Cocktail Hour: Atmosphere, laughter, details, candid family moments.

  • Reception: Entrances, toasts, dances, open floor—captured with natural light first; soft light only if needed.

  • Style touches: Intentional “still” holds, tasteful motion, gentle film-look grain & halation that feel timeless.

Videography Post-Production (where the story comes alive)

  • Ingest & backup: Footage and audio secured in multiple locations.

  • Selects pass: We hand-pick the best angles, reactions, and in-between moments.

  • Sound design: Clean vows/toasts layered with ambient moments; choose licensed music to match your tone.

  • Narrative edit: A movie-like arc—establishing, build, vows/letters, celebration, finale.

  • Color grade: Warm, moody palette with true-to-skin tones and subtle film texture.

  • Mastering & exports: Balanced audio, smooth pacing, high-quality files for streaming/TV.

  • Turnaround: Final wedding film in 1–2 weeks (teasers available sooner if added to your package).
